Dyson Gen5 Absolute Keeps Stopping With Carpet Head Despite Warranty

January 1 3:20 PM52

I own a Dyson Gen5 Absolute vacuum cleaner and for about the last two months I have been experiencing recurring problems with the device. Especially when using it with the carpet attachment, the vacuum sometimes does not turn on at all, and if it starts working, it suddenly stops during use. At first this problem was less frequent, but recently it has increased and seriously affects my ability to use the product. I contacted Dyson customer support about this issue. They offered to check the device via an online video conference. During the call, the device stopped once and then worked again, which they saw as if the problem was resolved. However, just one minute after the video conference ended, the vacuum stopped again and did not work, and when I requested another video call to show this situation, they refused to start a new session. Afterwards they only offered a physical inspection on the condition that I send the device to them by cargo, stating that I must find suitable packaging, ensure the safety of the device during transport and that if it is damaged in cargo I would be responsible. I felt that my problem was not taken seriously and I did not receive sufficient or reassuring support from customer service. My warranty for this product is still ongoing. I expect Dyson to take this malfunction seriously, to have the device examined in detail and to repair it under warranty so that I can use my vacuum cleaner safely and without interruption.
