Vestel Broke My Fridge Shelf and Refused Free Replacement





I am requesting a free replacement of the door and shelf. The mounting tab on the door shelf of my Vestel refrigerator broke without any user error. Although the shelf has a bottle symbol on it, we never placed any bottles there. Still, the part broke within just three years. What other brand has such an issue? My mother’s 25-year-old refrigerator never had a problem like this. My brother’s Bosch fridge, where cold water bottles are regularly stored, has lasted seven years without any damage. Meanwhile, my Vestel fridge is falling apart after only three. My warranty is still active, and I even paid extra for an extended warranty. Despite this, they’re asking for a fee. I should not be penalized for a defect I didn’t cause. I expect this issue to be resolved under warranty. If necessary, I will escalate it to the Consumer Arbitration Board. If the material used had been of good quality, it wouldn’t have broken — the issue is due to poor plastic, and that’s not my fault.
