Turkish Airlines 17-Hour Delay with No Assistance or Updates
On July 1st, I had a Turkish Airlines flight from Iğdır to Istanbul with a layover in Ankara, scheduled to depart at 17:05. However, we experienced constant delays with no proper explanations, no refreshments, and not even water was provided. We waited for hours at the airport, hungry and thirsty, without any information. The flight was eventually canceled, and we found out that the plane had landed in Kars on our own. They led us outside the airport, closed the gates, and left us in the cold with no updates. We were taken to Kars, but still, no assistance or refreshments were provided. We learned that the plane would depart at 11 PM, but once again, it was delayed for more than two hours with no communication or refreshments. We arrived at Ankara airport at 2:30 AM, but there was no flight at that hour. We were not informed by any authority and were left without any assistance or accommodation. The airport was freezing, and I got sick. Finally, at 11:55 AM, we received tickets. Throughout this ordeal, there was no proper information or even a drop of water provided. My food in the bag (red berries) got spoiled. I expect a prompt response to compensate for the financial losses and the distress I went through; otherwise, I will file complaints everywhere, even to the authorities. I am even willing to take legal action if needed. Good day.
