I Missed My Connection Flight Because Turkish Airlines Delayed My Flight

I purchased a THY flight ticket from Izmir to Igdir with a layover in Istanbul. The flight was delayed by 1 hour and 20 minutes. When we boarded the Izmir flight at the time we were supposed to catch our connection in Istanbul, we spoke with the staff about our situation. They assured us that the connecting flight would wait for us and that staff would assist us. However, by the time we arrived, the plane had already left. They offered to issue new tickets for a flight 8 hours later. All we received was a voucher for a meal at Burger King. Not even water was provided. We were stranded with two children, having left at 11 PM, and spent the entire day waiting without sleep, sitting on chairs. Our rights were not honored. It is said that food, drinks, and a place to rest are provided for delays exceeding 5 hours, but this was not the case. I am filing a complaint against THY for misleading us and leaving us in a difficult situation with two children.
