Long A Car Rental Failed to Return My Full Euro Deposit and Kept Part of My Money

Between August 1, 2025, and August 21, 2025, I rented a vehicle from Long A Car Rental, operated by H**** U*** in Aksu. As part of the rental agreement, I paid a total of €1,240, consisting of a €700 security deposit and a €540 insurance fee. At the time of the transaction, I was clearly informed that the security deposit would be refunded in euros.

However, instead of receiving my deposit back in euros as promised, I was refunded only approximately $890 in local currency. In addition, the deposit repayment was short by €21. As a result, I suffered a financial loss due to both the incomplete refund and the currency conversion process.

The problems did not end there. The deposit was not returned within the promised timeframe, forcing me to contact the company repeatedly. Each time I called, I was met with vague responses and excuses rather than clear information about the status of my refund. I was continuously kept waiting without any satisfactory explanation.

When I questioned the reason for the delay and the missing amount, I experienced what I considered to be rude, aggressive, and unprofessional behavior. Instead of addressing my concerns in a constructive manner, I was met with a dismissive attitude and communication that at times felt disrespectful and accusatory.

Furthermore, although the transaction should have been conducted in euros, I was strongly encouraged to make payments in local currency, which exposed me to exchange-rate losses. After researching online reviews, I found that other customers appear to have experienced similar issues, leading me to believe this may not be an isolated incident.

This experience has caused both financial loss and significant frustration. I request the immediate payment of the missing €21 and the full settlement of my security deposit in the original currency without any unjustified deductions. I also request that the conduct of the company, and particularly H**** U***, be reviewed so that other customers do not face similar problems in the future. Due to the lack of professionalism, transparency, and customer care throughout this process, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received.
