Turkish Airlines Redirected Me to Anadolu Jet, Resulting in Delays
I wanted to purchase a flight ticket from Ankara to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport through Turkish Airlines' website, but the site redirected me to Anadolu Jet. Assuming Anadolu Jet was a rebranded name, I bought a ticket for the 06:30 flight on 03/04/2024. Upon arriving at the airport at 04:58, I received a message that the flight was delayed to 07:10. While waiting, another message informed me of a further delay to 07:45. When I went to Anadolu Jet to discuss the situation with an official, I couldn't find anyone in charge; only employees who couldn't reach the officials but assured me the plane was at the gate and there would be no further delays. I needed to attend my son's oath ceremony and there was a P*** flight at 08:00. When I explained the situation to a Turkish Airlines representative, they said they had no connection with Anadolu Jet. I asked why I was redirected when purchasing the ticket but received no answer. At 07:45, we still hadn't boarded, and at 07:58, I received another message that the flight was delayed to 08:20. However, the gate displayed a delay to 09:20. As people started to react, we were boarded and left waiting on the plane. International and domestic connecting passengers missed their flights, and I missed my son's oath ceremony due to this negligence. I couldn't experience one of the most important moments of my life and came to Istanbul for nothing because Turkish Airlines redirected me to an irresponsible company like Anadolu Jet. Now, I ask how this situation will be compensated. If I hadn't been told at the airport that there would be no further delays and the plane was at the gate, I would have traveled with P*** and not missed this important moment. I am complaining about both Turkish Airlines and Anadolu Jet.
