Turkish Airlines Flight TK2655 8-Hour Delay and Miscommunication Issues
I had a ticket for flight TK2655 scheduled at 17:00 on 26/04/2024 from Erzincan Airport to Istanbul Airport. Initially, I received a message at 17:26 indicating a 40-minute delay. Later, at 17:45, another message informed me of a further delay, rescheduling the flight to 18:30. After this delay, I was verbally informed at the airport that the flight was canceled. At 18:55, another message was sent, stating the flight was rescheduled to 00:45. The main issue arose when a message at 19:31 indicated the flight was canceled again. I then used my ticket change option to reschedule my flight to Erzurum Airport for 27/04 at 08:30. However, I later discovered through face-to-face discussions at the airport that the cancellation information was incorrect. When I tried to change my ticket back to Erzincan, I was told I could not make another change. Since the flight initially reported as canceled was not actually canceled, I had to purchase a new ticket for flight TK6965 on 27 April at 00:45 from Erzincan. Due to this misinformation, I had to buy a new ticket, resulting in financial loss. Additionally, the approximately 8-hour delay caused significant psychological and physical stress, as well as disruptions to my planned activities upon return. Therefore, I request a refund for the ticket of flight TK6965 on 27 April at 00:45, seat number 01F, and compensation for the inconvenience caused by the 8-hour delay.
