Turkish Airlines Flight Delay and Poor Customer Service Experience
On December 25, 2023, for the TK4337 flight from Belgrade to Istanbul scheduled at 13:35, we were brought to the airport 3 hours early. At 12:30, we received a message informing us that the flight would be delayed by 4.5 hours and would now depart at 17:45. Inside the airport, before passport control, there are currency exchange offices where we exchanged our last dinars. After passing through passport control, we couldn't even get water in the area we were in. I reported this situation to THY customer service, and the lady who answered said the following: 'I am listing your rights' (she rambled for 35 seconds) and then said 'you have no rights.' I asked what we would do here without money, and mentioned that we came 3 hours early and they delayed the flight by 5 hours, making it a total of 8 hours without food or water. The response I received was to seek help from airport authorities. Delays can happen, but I leave the evaluation of this company's employees and procedures, who rely on the Serbians for solutions, to the reader. Best regards.
