Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation and Inconvenience

The THY TK7313 Hatay-Sabiha Gokcen flight on 28.07.2023 was canceled without any prior notification. Airport officials informed us that our plane would land at Adana Airport, which is understandable. However, instead of boarding at 19:30, we were given the TK 4373 flight from Adana Airport, which was delayed by 3 hours after a 2-hour car journey. This is clearly against the Consumer Rights Law and caused significant inconvenience.

I understand that they sell tickets for Hatay but do not send the plane there, offering a different service instead. This resulted in a 2-hour car journey and a total delay of 5 hours. A THY ticket official explained that cancellations happen 2-3 times a week. While we can understand diversions to different airports due to weather or other factors, this situation is completely unfair. According to Article 13-(1), a faulty service does not start within the time specified in the contract or lacks the agreed-upon and objectively necessary characteristics.
