I Was Mistreated and Overcharged by Turkish Airlines Staff

On February 5th, for the 17:15 THY Paris - Istanbul flight, I joined the queue at the corporate section to complete my check-in process. The staff mentioned that I had excess baggage and refused to process my check-in. Due to my limited foreign language proficiency, I requested to speak with a Turkish-speaking staff member. Rudely, I was told that no one spoke Turkish and communication would only be in French or English. I tried to communicate using Google Translate, but this method was also rejected, and I was sent back. I had shopping bags that I hadn't had the chance to combine, but I have traveled to at least 8-9 countries with THY before. Even on ministry-supported trips with my institution, this was the first time my suit was counted as a separate item. I then combined my items on the side.

When I rejoined the queue, a staff member asked if there was anyone for the 17:15 flight. (I had received a message that the 17:15 flight was delayed to 18:00.) I informed the staff that I was on the 17:15 flight. The helpful staff member quickly took me to the corporate section, but the staff member with whom I had the problem earlier said that I couldn't be processed there because I didn't have a business ticket. (My corporate card was not accepted.) Then, the staff directed me to the economy class counter. While my process was being completed, the lady with whom I had the issue earlier warned the staff about my excess baggage and interrupted the process. (I was told I couldn't board the plane. Out of fear of missing the flight, I offered to pay the extra fee. She said she would calculate it. It was stated that there was a difference of 55 Euros. After completing my payment, I saw on your site that the fee for 6 kg excess baggage is 18 Euros. I want to complain about the lady who said I couldn't board without mentioning the payment part and the fact that there was no Turkish-speaking staff. I believe THY should have at least one Turkish-speaking staff member in the relevant area.

Additionally, I couldn't understand why I faced difficulties and inconsistent behavior while two of my friends, who traveled a week before under the same conditions, were facilitated easily.

The feedback I mentioned earlier was not made in response to my complaint on Şikayetvar, but rather for the feedback request I submitted on the THY website. The response provided was neither adequate nor thorough and was done in a superficial and careless manner.
