Turkish Airlines delivered poor service for the delayed flight
I had a bad experience with Turkish Airlines recently. I was scheduled to fly out of Adyaman on September 18, 2022, with connections in Izmir and Istanbul. When I arrived at the airport, I was told that the Istanbul flight had been delayed and that I could fly the next day at 8:00 a.m. Unsatisfied with this solution, I was told that I could be flown to Istanbul that day and put up in a hotel for the night. When I arrived at Istanbul Airport, I saw many other passengers in similar situations to mine, and a help desk had been set up to address their complaints. After a 45-minute wait, we were all lined up and crammed into a minibus and driven to Tüyap Palas, a hotel about an hour away. We were a group of about 30 people, but with other groups arriving later, the total number of passengers was well over 70. We were finally set for the night after a 35-minute wait for room assignments. Our flight was scheduled for 11 a.m. the next day, but we were told the vehicle to take us to the airport would pick us up at 7 a.m., despite having nearly four hours to spare. This was a total disgrace and a huge inconvenience, as it meant a three-hour wait with no explanation. It is unacceptable that Turkish Airlines can treat their customers in this manner, and I am not the only one who has had this experience. Many passengers have reported similar poor service, and I strongly advise anyone considering flying with the airline to reconsider.
