On August 27th, after my flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Ankara (ESB), one of the four suitcases I checked in was lost. I immediately filed a report at Esenboga Airport and began waiting. According to the process, if the luggage is not found within 5 days, compensation is granted. On the 5th day, I created my file and started waiting. If the luggage is not found within 21 days, the file is transferred to the compensation unit. However, it took 40 days for my file to be transferred to the compensation unit. The file has been with the compensation unit since October 5th. There has been no response yet. As of today, 72 days have passed since the flight. During these 72 days, I have called THY numerous times (at least 20 times). The call center dealing with the issue can only send an email to the relevant department and has no other function. I have not been called even once for an update during this process. Not a single step has been taken to address the inconvenience I have experienced for 72 days. THY, which I have used for years and am even a Miles & Smiles Elite member, is managing this process incredibly poorly. I still have no information on the status of the process or when it will be resolved.
