Turkish Airlines Damaged My Baggage but Didn't Resolve It Yet
On October 18, 2023, during my Istanbul-Izmir flight with Turkish Airlines, my luggage was damaged. I reported the baggage issue to Turkish Airlines and submitted all the required documents, including receipts, baggage tags, reports, and photos of the damaged luggage. However, my case, which was forwarded to the compensation unit, has been under review for over a month. The last message I received on November 12 stated that they would check the stock status and get back to me, but I have not received any further updates since then. When I call the customer service center, I cannot get any information; they cannot provide a date for when my new luggage will be sent, do not transfer me to the relevant department, and do not communicate with the compensation unit. Normally, this issue should be resolved within 3-21 days, but it has been almost two months and continues. An unacceptable explanation such as 'It might be due to high volume' is given, and it seems impossible to communicate with the compensation unit. The customer service center claims they have marked the situation as urgent, but no progress has been made.
