Turkish Airlines Didn't Pay the Compensation For Lost Baggage
After my flight from Los Angeles (lax) to Ankara (esb) on August 27, 1 of the 4 suitcases I delivered was lost. I immediately made a report at Esenboğa Airport and started waiting. According to the process, if the luggage is not found within 5 days, the right to compensation is earned. I created my file on Day 5 and started waiting. If the luggage is not found within 21 days, the file is transferred to the compensation unit. However, it took 40 days for my file to be transferred to the compensation unit. The file has been in the compensation unit since October 5. No return yet. As of today, 72 days have passed since the flight. I called Turkish Airlines many times (at least 20 times) during these 72 days. The call center dealing with the issue can only send e-mails to the relevant unit and has no other function. During this process, I was not called even once to be informed. Not even the slightest step has been taken to resolve the grievance I have experienced for 72 days. Turkish Airlines, which I have used for years and even am a Miles & Smiles Elite member, manages this process incredibly poorly. I still have not received any information about the stage of the process or when it will be concluded.
