Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage, But Hasn't Provided Any Solution Yet
In August, I flew from Izmir to Istanbul, and when I received my luggage, it was both crushed and had a broken wheel. We created the necessary documents with the authorized personnel at that moment and started the process. There was no one to help me carry my suitcase, and I was in a very difficult situation. The documents I created on 26.08.2023 are still being processed, and no result has been reached yet. Despite calling customer service multiple times and expressing urgency, they keep saying they are waiting for a response from the headquarters, but no result has been provided. This process should not take this long; you are causing inconvenience to people. I had to buy a new suitcase for my travels, which incurred additional expenses. I want my request regarding my luggage to be fulfilled. If there is still no result from the headquarters, they should arrange for me to speak with an authorized person.
I want to add an update here regarding the response after the review. Since I didn't have the receipt for the suitcase I bought in 2018, I was neither charged any repair fee nor sent a new suitcase. I was told that such mishaps and experiences are normal! What kind of approach is this? Am I supposed to keep the receipt for a suitcase I bought years ago in case it breaks on a flight one day? It's been 5 years. Moreover, no, experiencing such things is not normal at all, neither the irresponsibility nor the lack of attention I faced from many people that day is normal. It's truly a complete disappointment; you could have at least given me a new suitcase as compensation. I really didn't expect this much.
