On August 13, 2023, between 11:00 and 12:30, I encountered poor customer service at the ticket section, specifically in section E, at Istanbul's new airport. The staff's working manner was very unsatisfactory.
They were unhelpful and had poor communication skills. Firstly, we had a baggage allowance of 21 kg, but our bag weighed 22 kg. Instead of accommodating us, they insisted on removing 1 kg from the bag, which seemed unreasonable.
The passenger was a woman with a child, each having an 8 kg backpack allowance. Two customer service representatives weighed the bags and said they could be checked in, while another said they couldn't.
Customer relations were truly lacking. For being 1 kg over the limit, they redirected us to another place and charged us ₺90. They also kept our passports and asked us to return after making the payment, which was communicated in a very rude manner.
Later, the passenger forgot a bag, and the staff continued their conversation among themselves, stating they couldn't do anything about it. This happened around 12:30-12:45.
