Turkish Airlines Check-In Issue with Samsun-Mardin Flight

I purchased a flight ticket with the reservation code v** for my spouse from Turkish Airlines for a Samsun-Mardin flight with a layover in Istanbul on 20.01.2024. We arrived at the airport two hours before the flight, well within the check-in period. When asked for identification during the check-in and ticketing process, we realized we had forgotten the ID and presented a driver's license instead. Despite the T.C. ID number matching, the old driver's license had a maiden name, so it was not accepted. The staff suggested we verify the ID through the e-government portal. Even after doing so, they insisted we needed to bring the physical ID. We called my brother to bring the ID from home and informed the staff. Despite repeatedly explaining that we had a nine-month-old baby with us and requesting them to proceed with the check-in, promising to show the ID upon arrival, the staff refused to process without seeing the ID first. The ID arrived 28 minutes before the flight, but when we tried to check in, we were told the system had closed two minutes earlier. Since there were no more Samsun-Mardin flights that day, we had to book tickets for the next day, incurring an additional ₺2,098. I am deeply disappointed with the extra cost and the inconvenience caused by having to wake up my nine-month-old baby early the next day to bring him to the airport again.
