Turkish Airlines Canceled In-Flight Service at Seat 13
On April 15, 2024, at 12:05 PM, I was a passenger on flight TK2139 from Ankara to Istanbul, seated in 17F. Shortly after boarding, the in-flight service began. The service started from the front rows and slowly progressed, but when it reached seat 13, the flight attendant told her colleague that the sandwiches were finished, ending the service entirely. One of the main reasons I choose Turkish Airlines is their in-flight service. When passengers expressed their dissatisfaction, they explained that the service was stopped for safety reasons due to the descent, but many passengers, including myself, saw that the sandwiches had simply run out. On a plane with 30 rows, I could understand if they ran out at row 28, but not at row 13. I'm sure many people, like myself, relied on the in-flight service and skipped breakfast. Due to airport procedures, we have to arrive very early anyway. This behavior was not fitting for Turkish Airlines, and the conduct of the cabin supervisor was particularly unpleasant.
