Turkish Airlines Boarding Issue Due to Unstated Error
On December 27, 2023, I had a flight from Esenboga to Ercan. I checked in online at night, but when I tried to print my boarding pass, it failed due to a system error. Despite arriving at the airport one hour and 15 minutes early, I was informed that, as a disabled passenger, 'You cannot generate a boarding pass online.' When I reported the issue to the authorities, I mentioned that 'It is your constitutional right to positive discrimination and there is no such warning in the system.' Nevertheless, I was not allowed to board the plane and learned that there is no 'Boarding pass cannot be printed for disabled' warning in the system. All my plans were canceled, and I had to cancel my return ticket as well. Turkish Airlines sold the same ticket for ₺5,500, claiming 'Only two seats left.' I felt humiliated in front of people when the authorities said, 'You cannot print your boarding pass because you are disabled,' and I will report this situation to CIMER. Moreover, during my previous trip to Cyprus, I was offered €250 to sell my ticket because the flight was overbooked. I want to express my concerns about these negative incidents.
Why is it that we are not receiving any response from the authorities?
