THY Damaged My Luggage and Rejects My Online Claim!

I traveled with THY from Northern Cyprus to Geneva in July. Due to a health issue, I requested a wheelchair for the entire trip. My sister was my companion. Upon arriving in Geneva, we found our luggage torn and damaged. We went to the THY desk at Geneva airport to ask for guidance, and the two staff members there told us that the entire process should be done online and that there was nothing they could do at the airport.
Following their advice, I submitted an online claim after my trip. However, for months now, they have been causing me inconvenience, stating that the process should have been done at the airport, not online. I uploaded all the documents to their system as instructed by the airport staff. I ask- if their own employees misled us, is that my fault? Our luggage is now unusable!
