THY 12-Hour Delay and Lack of Information on Ankara-Istanbul-Tirana Flight

On June 12, 2024, I purchased a ticket through THY for the Ankara-Istanbul and Istanbul-Tirana flights. Our flight from Ankara to Istanbul went smoothly. However, at Istanbul Airport, we experienced a 12-hour delay for the flight to Tirana. The issue was that we boarded the plane, but it was faulty and couldn't take off. We waited for the plane to be repaired, but no one provided us with any information, and we waited for hours. Initially, they said it would be a one or two-hour delay, then they kept saying it would take just one more hour. In total, we experienced a 12-hour delay. The plane was not repaired, and we were moved to another scheduled flight, while the passengers of the scheduled flight were moved to the faulty plane. This caused the next flight to be delayed for hours as well. We couldn't find anyone to talk to or get information from. THY has become a very poorly managed company. I will try to avoid using it, and I suggest you consider your alternatives.
