My Luggage Was Damaged Turkish Airlines THY Travel

On 05.08.2023, during my Istanbul TK7414 Trabzon trip, I noticed my luggage was broken when I picked it up. I reported it to the relevant THY unit, and a report was filed with photos taken. The authorized personnel informed me that they currently didn't have a cabin-sized luggage available but assured me that it would arrive on Monday, 07.08.2023, and I could pick it up then. I mentioned that I didn't live in Trabzon and was in Rize for vacation. The authorized person then said I could collect my luggage from Rize airport with the document provided. On 08.08.2023, I went to Rize airport and reached the relevant unit after a 30-minute struggle. I handed over my document, but again, there was no cabin-sized luggage available. They offered a medium-sized luggage and, oddly, asked for the broken luggage back. They said they couldn't give me a new luggage without the broken one. When the report was filed, there was no explanation that I needed to return the broken luggage. I had thrown it away upon arriving at my vacation spot because it was unusable. Now, I had to interrupt my vacation, travel 40 km, only to return empty-handed and without my luggage. I had to break my vacation and now need to interrupt it again for a luggage issue. A prestigious brand like THY, which is the pride of Turkey, has left me in a difficult situation. I hope the relevant units address this issue so that others don't face the same problem.
