Issue with Turkish Airlines Flight and Boeing 737 MAX Model
Hello. On April 7, 2024, I had booked my Ağrı-Istanbul flight on March 15, 2024. I have flight anxiety. Knowing that sometimes Boeing 737 MAX models are used in my location and not having the option to choose another schedule or airline like in a big city, I booked the TK2731 flight via the Turkish Airlines iPhone app by checking that the aircraft was not a Boeing 737 MAX. However, I am currently at the airport and the arriving aircraft is an AnadoluJet plane, and the model is a Boeing 737 MAX (TC-LAK). I will not board this plane. I incurred significant financial loss by purchasing a new ticket for an AnadoluJet plane that was not a Boeing 737 MAX.
For about 10 years, I have been buying all my plane tickets by checking the aircraft model. I lived in Istanbul for 15 years and have countless domestic and international flights with Turkish Airlines. However, I have been in Ağrı for a month due to my State Service Obligation. I have not been able to make travel plans for a month because I cannot find aircraft model information on the Turkish Airlines app for the selected dates. Today, while trying to adapt to a new geography with my family, this added to our stress. I follow news about many people and even pilots around the world who refuse to board the Boeing 737 MAX and request refunds. I also do not want to board this aircraft as a personal preference. I choose Turkish Airlines because I can comfortably book tickets by seeing the aircraft model. However, despite booking this ticket by seeing that it was not a Boeing 737 MAX, I ended up with both an AnadoluJet plane and a Boeing 737 MAX. Due to the inconvenience caused to my family and me, I request a refund for our tickets (Ticket No: 2352221432258-2352221432259-2352221432260). Such misleading actions do not suit a company like Turkish Airlines. I will follow up on this issue on all platforms. Thank you.
