Turkish Airlines Flight Seating Issue on London Trip
Hello, on Sunday, February 12, 2024, my friend and I arrived at the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport for flight TK1979 to London. Despite booking our seats 8A and 8B next to each other online in advance, an aircraft change automatically reassigned me to a seat in the 30s (possibly 37A or B). Since there were no adjacent seats available on the plane, we upgraded to Business Class by paying ₺13,613. However, upon boarding, we still couldn't sit together and had to seek assistance from the flight attendant due to an error at the counter. We eventually managed to sit next to each other. On our return flight on Sunday, February 18, 2024, my seat 8B was again changed to 13H. This trip caused me both financial and emotional distress. Why do we bother booking our seats online in advance if this happens? I had never encountered such an issue with Turkish Airlines before. I wanted to express my complaint.
