I Have Not Received the Approximately 20,000 Extra Miles From Turkish Airlines
Despite fulfilling all the conditions of the Turkish Airlines (THY) Miles Festival campaign, I have not received the approximately 20,000 extra miles I earned for my Mexico/USA business class flight with THY. I have raised this issue twice, but THY claims I am ineligible due to a 'corporate agreement ticketing' reason. I purchased the ticket through an agency that collaborates with my company, after reviewing it on THY's website, and no discount was applied to the ticket price. My company is based in Germany and has no connection with the similarly named Turkish company that THY claims to have a corporate agreement with. This situation is akin to the separate entities of İş Bankası Turkey and İş Bankası Germany, despite sharing the same name. Furthermore, I received no discount or privilege during the ticket purchase. When I inquired about the details of the corporate agreement and the type of discount provided, I received no response. THY is providing unreasonable explanations for not awarding the significant amount of miles I am owed. Although they have the authority to make the final decision, such unethical behavior severely damages the brand value that THY has built over the years and negatively impacts loyal customers, causing them to lose trust in the brand. Due to my frequent business travels, I fly at least three to four times intercontinentally (business class) and within Europe each year. I have always preferred THY whenever possible. However, moving forward, I will continue to earn miles by flying with other Star Alliance members like Lufthansa, Air Canada, and United. They may withhold the 20,000 miles I deserve, but I believe their attitude will cost them much more in the long run. The company has grown so large that it seems they do not care about losing a few customers, even if it is due to their own mistakes. I think they should not view everyone as trying to abuse the system.
