I have been a THY Elite Plus cardholder for nearly ten years. Normally, my card, which is renewed every two years, was extended until May 31, 2020, and then its validity period was extended by 18 months due to the pandemic and an additional 3 months due to the earthquake. Thus, the validity date was extended until February 29, 2024.
While my card is being renewed again, the miles accumulated since May 31, 2020, should have been taken into account. However, due to an error in THY's system, the previous renewal date appears as December 1, 2021, which means my accumulated miles are not sufficient for the card renewal.
I have sent several feedback forms regarding this issue (including my previous correspondence with THY as evidence). Each time, I received the same standard response, which seemed to be a rote reply without thoroughly examining the issue. In my last correspondence, I specifically asked them not to send the same response again and requested a phone call, which they also refused.
In this situation, I feel that my earned rights have been violated, and I am therefore complaining about THY. It is extremely disappointing that a company, which is among the world's leading airlines and one of Turkey's rare global brands, approaches even its Elite Plus status customers so carelessly.
