I Experienced Inconvenience Due To Turkish Airlines Flight Cancellation Before Holiday
About a month ago, on 03.03.2024, I purchased a ticket through the THY mobile app for an Anadolu Jet flight from Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Adana Airport scheduled for 06.04.2024 at 01:00. Just 5 days before our flight, we were informed that it was canceled due to operational reasons and that we could make a free change. During my conversation with AJet customer service, I was told that no action could be taken because the ticket numbers starting with 235 belong to THY, and I needed to contact THY. When I spoke with the THY call center, I was informed that since THY does not have flights from Sabiha Gokcen Airport, changes could only be made on flights with a TK code, and if we wanted to fly from Istanbul Airport, the change could be made. Although traveling from Istanbul Airport is challenging for us, we accepted this situation as we had no other choice. However, I was informed that there were no available flights from Istanbul Airport to Adana Airport on my flight date of 06.04.2024. When I checked the dates of 05.04.2024 and 07.04.2024, I was also informed that there were no available seats. Therefore, despite purchasing my ticket about a month in advance, I was inconvenienced due to the cancellation of my flight, and no action was taken to resolve my issue. As a result of this inconvenience, we are facing the possibility of not being able to visit our hometown Adana for the holiday due to our public duty in Istanbul. I urgently request that my issue be resolved and that I be informed by phone.
