Recently, I traveled with PNR number ulf5nr on a flight from Bucharest to Istanbul with a connection to Adana. Initially, I had a ticket from Bucharest to Hatay. However, I was informed that due to operational reasons, the flight was changed from Hatay to Adana. I accepted this new flight. But at the Bucharest Airport check-in counter, I was told that the Adana flight was not visible in the system and they couldn't issue my Adana ticket because it was blocked in the system.
It was very difficult to explain my situation. I was informed that there was no Turkish Airlines help desk at Bucharest Airport. Under challenging conditions, I contacted customer service. This call and the process of creating a request took almost 20 minutes. When I was called a second time, I was told there was no problem. However, during boarding, my flight was still not visible in the system, and they wanted to return my checked baggage.
The process was very stressful. I almost wasn't allowed to board the plane. You show Hatay as the destination airport in the system, then change the flight to Adana. We had to arrange our own transportation from Adana to Hatay. If there wasn't going to be a flight to Hatay, you shouldn't have listed Hatay as a destination in the first place.
Not everyone may have access to transportation. To make matters worse, the Bucharest to Istanbul flight was delayed by 55 minutes. I barely made it to the Adana flight at Istanbul Airport by running. I could have been elderly or unable to run. It was a bad experience. I am still in shock!
