Complaint About Disrespectful Staff and Unjustified Travel Ban by Turkish Airlines
On March 30, 2024, Saturday at 2:30 PM, I purchased a ticket from Turkish Airlines for a flight to Sao Paulo. I have been living in Sao Paulo for 8 years and for the first time, I encountered rude and disrespectful behavior from security company employees. My friend was also traveling with me to Sao Paulo and we had made vacation plans. Unfortunately, during check-in, the security company employees asked for our passports and stated that they needed to check them for security reasons. Despite having a residence card, they stated that I could travel, but my friend could not, without providing any justification. When I asked for the reason to understand the issue, they simply repeated that my friend could not fly. While trying to understand the situation, Mr. A**** from the check-in staff tried to explain the situation respectfully, but another female staff member came and questioned whether I was being logical about my friend's inability to travel, using a rude and impolite tone. Despite warning her twice and stating that she should speak respectfully and politely, she tried to humiliate me with a loud voice and inappropriate language. My nephew was not allowed to board the plane and check-in was denied without any reason or justification, despite having a passport issued by the Republic of Turkey. When I asked for the reasons, I was treated disrespectfully without any explanation, even though I was trying to understand. I am complaining about the disrespectful attitude and degrading manner of the security company employees. I will sue the company and its employees who restricted and denied our right to fly without any legal or justified reason. I condemn this unjust obstruction that prevented my family members from visiting me. I will file a complaint against the female check-in staff member on 30/03/2024 who responded rudely to our questions without providing any information about the issue. I will report this disrespectful behavior and the company's unjustified travel ban on platforms like CIMER, Eksi Sozluk, and all complaint platforms. I will pursue all my legal rights to the fullest extent in the legal process.
