On April 13, 2024, in Istanbul, while boarding flight 0960 to Ercan, we were denied entry by Ms. N***. Instead of explaining the situation politely, we were treated very disrespectfully. I am very curious about how we were not allowed to board after passing through the boarding pass and passport control. Despite having return tickets, we were insistently and disrespectfully asked to purchase new return tickets from Turkish Airlines.
We have been traveling to Cyprus for 12 years and have never encountered such a situation. I even called the call center, explained my issue, and they were also surprised. We had to go and buy new tickets at the airport. To clarify, we bought return tickets from Cyprus, not departure tickets.
Now we have two return tickets from Cyprus, and the funny thing is, when we went to the Turkish Airlines main office in Cyprus, they told us that we needed to resolve it at the Istanbul airport, and they couldn't do anything or provide a refund. If they can't do anything, why have a main office? We experienced consecutive inconveniences caused by Turkish Airlines, and we are really very upset about this situation. Even if I can't find another airline ticket, I will not choose Turkish Airlines again.
