Check-in Issue with Adjacent Seats on Turkish Airlines Flight TK2433
On August 19, 2023, I had 3 tickets for flight TK2433 from Antalya to Istanbul with my spouse and child. Despite our electronic ticket numbers being sequential, when I attempted to check in the day before, the system assigned my child and me adjacent seats but placed my spouse in a different seat, even though the seat next to us was empty. Despite multiple attempts, the result did not change. To avoid any issues at the airport, I had to pay ₺69 to secure the third seat. My child is 4 years old and should ideally fly accompanied by their mother, but unfortunately, the system did not allow this. Although there were several sets of three adjacent seats available on the plane, the system failed to assign us seats together, forcing me to pay extra. My ticket was for a round trip. On August 12, when checking in for the flight to Antalya, I was able to get three adjacent seats without any issues, but I couldn't understand the problem this time.
