I purchased a Tesla Model Y in November 2024, and recently experienced a major safety issue: the glass roof cracked spontaneously from the inside, without any external impact or internal trauma. At first, the crack was small, and I immediately opened a service ticket.
However, because of the holiday, my appointment was rescheduled to April 10, 2025. During the long-distance holiday travel, the crack expanded significantly. When I brought the car in, the service team accused me of causing the damage, saying something must have hit the glass from inside the vehicle, even though there was no visible exterior damage.
I provided photos taken before the crack worsened, yet I was told, “Your photos could be fake,” which I found deeply insulting. They refused to process this as a warranty claim, even though glass roof cracking is widely known to be a common defect in Tesla vehicles globally.
I’m extremely disappointed. Tesla Turkey is clearly avoiding responsibility, despite evidence and known global issues. My trust in the brand has been shattered—just like my roof. I will never purchase another Tesla, and I’ll strongly advise everyone I know to avoid the brand as well.
