SunExpress Refused to Compensate for Damaged Luggage After International Trip

Between October 15-20, my spouse and I went on an international trip. Upon returning to Izmir airport, I found my luggage damaged. The handle was bent outward and now won't close at all. We created a damage report with number 09207796, but after waiting for a long time, we received a response on October 6, 2024. The email listed situations where SunExpress does not take responsibility, stating they wouldn’t cover the damage, without specifying which condition applied to my case.
The luggage is registered under my spouse's name, which I believe is the reason for the rejection. They suggested I create another damage report for this, possibly something that could be resolved with a simple check. Instead, they seem to be making it more complicated. Their reasons include irrelevant excuses like the luggage being dirty, but that doesn't change the fact that the damage occurred during the flight. SunExpress refuses to take responsibility for my damaged luggage and lists unrelated excuses.
I will pursue all legal options to ensure they see how much more costly this will be for them if they refuse to compensate me. Safe travels to everyone else, but I am determined to get this resolved.
