SunExpress Airlines' Irresponsive Resolution Of Refund For Delayed Luggage


I am writing to formally file a complaint against SunExpress Airlines regarding the irresponsive resolution of a refund request related to delayed luggage. On 8/16/2023, I had the unfortunate experience of traveling with SunExpress Airlines on Flight LH9576 from Munich, Germany to Izmir, Turkiye. Regrettably, my luggage was significantly delayed and did not arrive at my destination as expected. This situation resulted in numerous inconveniences, including additional expenses for immediate necessities - in total $218.00 - and a substantial disruption to my travel plans. I immediately reported the delayed luggage to the airline's customer service desk at Izmir Lost and Found, and they assured me that the matter would be resolved promptly. Yet, they didn't provide me with any copies of the claim. To facilitate the process, I provided all the necessary documentation, including my baggage claim ticket, contact information, and a detailed list of the contents of my luggage. The issue with my delayed luggage was eventually resolved, and my luggage was delivered to my location 4 days after my arrival. However, the process of obtaining a refund for the additional expenses incurred during the delay has been nothing short of frustrating and irresponsible. I submitted my refund request to SunExpress Airlines on August 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 of 2023. To date, I have received no concrete response regarding the status of my refund, nor have I been reimbursed for the expenses I incurred due to the luggage delay. The lack of communication and action rom has left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated with their customer service. I believe that the delay in resolving my refund request is unacceptable and goes against the principles of responsible and responsive customer service that I expect from an airline that has multiple flights every day. I kindly request that SunExpress Airlines intervene on my behalf and expedite the processing of my refund request for the additional expenses incurred due to the delayed luggage. I trust that SunExpress Airlines will take this matter seriously and work diligently to resolve it in a timely and satisfactory manner.
