SunExpress Online Check-In Failure and Unjust Baggage Fees

On September 4, 2024, for my 19:00 SunExpress flight from Izmir to Prague, I attempted online check-in 5 hours before departure. However, the system kept showing errors or didn't allow check-in at all. I spent 2 hours trying to complete the process while also attempting to contact customer service, which was impossible. They have a 444 number that leads nowhere, offering no real assistance. I was forced to head to the airport early, only to be told 'yes, there’s a system issue,' with no further help.

Additionally, I was charged 1200 TL for two bags, one of which was my laptop bag and a small personal bag that could easily fit under the seat. The airline's lack of flexibility and customer care is astonishing. Despite explaining my situation, I was shuffled from one person to another and had no choice but to pay. This was especially frustrating since I've flown this exact route 6-7 times a year with the same bags without issue. They charged me for something they had no right to. It’s disheartening that there is no regulatory body overseeing such practices, leaving customers like me without recourse.
