SunExpress Lost My Baggage on Barcelona–Izmir Flight
On January 11, 2026, my baggage was lost on SunExpress flight XQ895 from Barcelona to İzmir, where I was traveling as a transfer passenger from New Jersey. Even though the aircraft was nearly empty, I received no assistance at all, and through this experience I realized that a company of this size does not even have a proper baggage tracking system.
More than 24 hours have passed since my arrival, and my baggage has still not been located. Using the baggage tracking reference number adbxq*95**, I am unable to obtain any clear information. I have not been told whether my bag is still in Barcelona or whether it was ever loaded onto the Barcelona–İzmir flight, and no explanation has been provided.
My missing baggage contained my medications, clothing, as well as items I brought such as chocolate and coffee. I arrived at my vacation destination without any clothes, became physically unwell because I could not access my medication, and this situation has affected me both financially and emotionally. This is now the third time I have experienced serious issues with the same airline this year, and I have completely lost trust in the company.
During my conversations at the airport and afterward, I was told that Barcelona would be contacted, but so far no concrete result has been provided. I demand that my baggage be found immediately and delivered to me as soon as possible. Otherwise, I request financial compensation for the hardship I have suffered, as well as full reimbursement for the clothing, medication, and other essential expenses I was forced to incur during this process.
