I Fly Often with SunExpress but They Keep Separating Me from My Spouse on Available Seats

I frequently travel with SunExpress, and I’ve tried to stay understanding even though they consistently assign less desirable middle seats during online check-in—clearly hoping someone will pay extra to change it. I get it; they’re a business trying to make money. But what happened on my most recent flight crossed the line.

Despite there being available two-seater spots, SunExpress assigned separate seats to me and my spouse. We were on the same booking, yet forced to sit apart. I find this unacceptable. This wasn’t a fully booked flight, and clearly, there was space to accommodate us side by side. It feels like passengers are being penalized for not paying additional seat selection fees, even when logistics allow for better arrangements.

This experience has left me incredibly frustrated. I expect better treatment from an airline I fly with regularly. It's not just about comfort—it's about respect for customer loyalty and common courtesy. I urge SunExpress to stop this practice of deliberately assigning separate seats when adjacent ones are available and to reconsider how they treat frequent travelers who choose them time and again.
