Spigen Thin Fit Pro Case Damaged My Z Fold 5 Warranty Service Fail

Good day. I recently purchased a Z Fold 5 and, trusting in the quality of Spigen products that I’ve used for years, I bought the Spigen Thin Fit Pro Crystal Clear case. However, after just 5-6 months, the plastic components holding the springs inside the case broke. The metal ends of the springs scratched my phone deeply before I noticed and removed the case. If I hadn’t noticed, the damage could have been worse.

Since the case is still under warranty, I sent it in to notify the company and alert them that if this issue is chronic, it could damage other users’ phones as well. A company representative called me and, almost mockingly, told me that the scratches on the case were user-related damage and that they would be sending the case back. We buy cases to protect our phones, not to damage them. The damage is clearly visible in the photos—particularly the wear on the hinge of my phone caused by the ends of the springs. Moreover, the case returned to me with a deep scratch that wasn’t there when I sent it.

Spigen is not standing behind their product. I want to inform you that I will be pursuing all my rights, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. Additionally, I will be sharing this experience on all social media platforms and shopping sites to inform others.
