After my Kazan–Antalya flight with Southwind Airlines on the night of January 14 at 12:45 AM, I received my suitcase in a completely damaged condition. Two of its four wheels were torn off, the handles were broken loose, and in this state I was forced to drag the suitcase through the airport, feeling both humiliated and distressed, and continue all the way home like that. A damage report was prepared at the airport, after which I contacted the company by email and submitted all the documents they requested. Despite this, they asked me to provide the purchase invoice for the suitcase, which I bought three years ago. Even though the suitcase originally cost approximately $58–$69 at the time of purchase, is now worth around $104 at today’s market value, and is clearly beyond repair with even the broken parts missing, demanding an old invoice feels like an attempt to avoid responsibility. Moreover, there is no customer service representative who can be reached, no accessible phone line, and the entire process has been dismissed through a single email. I am requesting that the value of my damaged suitcase be reimbursed based on its current market price and that the hardship I experienced during this process be reasonably compensated. I want my case to be resolved transparently and quickly through communication with a reachable and accountable representative.
