Dyson V12 Submarine – Cleaner Head Warranty Rejection

2

I purchased a Dyson V12 Submarine vacuum cleaner on 30 August 2026 from the Dyson store in İstinyePark, İzmir. During the very first use of the device, in less than 10 minutes, the lower part of the main cleaner head separated from the section that connects to the wand. I did not hit the vacuum cleaner against any surface, and there are no visible signs of impact, breakage, or cracks. The cleaner head continues to function and there is no problem with the wiring. The only issue is that there is an empty space where a thin piece that holds the lower and upper parts together should be, and that part is not in place. I contacted Dyson customer service on 3 September 2026 and explained the situation. We held two video calls. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that the problem was due to user error and that the internal separation was considered breakage. When I tried to explain that a part was not seated in its place and that this could be a manufacturing defect, this point was not taken into account. I even removed the right and left tabs with exposed screws myself to show the problem more clearly, but this was also considered breakage and I was told it would not be covered under warranty. There is no logical explanation for a part that has not been hit or misused in any way, and that shows no external damage, to separate so cleanly from the inside after such a short period of normal use. Despite this, Dyson blamed the entire situation on user error, which was very disappointing. I was informed that there was a major breakage, that it would not be covered under warranty, and that I would have to pay approximately ₺6,000 for a new cleaner head or part, based on the current sales price. I believe that this problem, which occurred during the first few minutes of normal use, stems from a manufacturing or component defect. I request that the main cleaner head of my Dyson V12 Submarine be repaired or replaced free of charge under warranty, without any cost to me, and that the customer service assessment, which attributes the issue to user error, be reviewed once again in a fair and detailed manner.
