No Compensation for Damaged Samsonite Baggage from Singapore Airlines

On July 29, 2023, we embarked on a Singapore Airlines flight from Phuket to Istanbul with a layover in Singapore. Upon arrival, our luggage was received in a damaged state. We promptly went to the Singapore Airlines office at Havaş airport to file an official complaint. Despite receiving documentation, our subsequent response stated that the damage was not covered. When we called for clarification, we were informed that no further action could be taken due to a timeframe exceeding a week since the flight.
Our brand-new Samsonite suitcase, purchased specifically for our honeymoon, now bears significant damage akin to a decade-old case. It's evident the suitcase was mishandled, despite clearly marking it as ""fragile."" I urgently seek a resolution for this situation and cannot accept the damaged suitcase, marred during its inaugural use.
