Rowenta Compact Power Vacuum Stuck on Carpets

Four years ago, I visited Media Markt to buy a Philips vacuum. However, the staff pressured me into purchasing a different model, the Rowenta Compact Power, claiming it was far superior. Now, the vacuum they couldn't stop praising sticks to the carpet and requires immense force to move. Initially, I thought its power was a strength and continued using it, but now there are visible dust clumps on the carpet. Opening the suction reduction part on the handle makes it easier to move, but the vacuum remains ineffective. To add insult to injury, my daughter bought a Dyson vacuum, and it effortlessly glides with much stronger suction power.
