On 12/08/2025, I subscribed to Preply by paying 6,367.85₺ for one month of private English lessons. However, I was not satisfied with the quality of the lessons and decided to cancel my subscription on 22/08/2025, after using the service for only two weeks.
Out of the total lessons I paid for, I only attended a portion. Around 6–7 lessons remained unused, even though I had already paid for them. After canceling, I requested a refund for the unused portion of my subscription. Instead of refunding my money, Preply customer service informed me that the remaining credits could only be applied toward other teachers and that a direct refund to my bank account was not possible.
I find this unacceptable. I am no longer interested in using Preply, and I do not want to transfer my credits to another tutor. I am not asking for a refund of the lessons I already took, only for the portion covering the unused lessons.
I demand that the unused lesson fees be refunded directly to my bank account and that Preply respect customers’ right to fair reimbursement when services are not rendered.
