Pegasus Airlines Diverted Berlin Flight and Left Passengers Stranded in Hannover
Our Pegasus Airlines flight PC979 from Sabiha Gökçen to Berlin on February 5, 2026, was diverted to Hannover Airport due to bad weather instead of landing in Berlin.
Although the pilot and cabin crew announced during the flight that Pegasus staff would assist us, there were no Pegasus representatives at Hannover Airport, and we were completely left on our own.
That night, my spouse and I had to find a hotel using our own resources, and the following day we had to travel from Hannover to Berlin by train at our own expense.
When we purchase a ticket to Berlin, leaving passengers stranded in an unfamiliar city without arranging onward transportation is unacceptable. We are aware that other airlines typically arrange buses or transportation in similar situations, but Pegasus essentially abandoned us without assistance.
The total cost of our hotel stay and the train trip from Hannover to Berlin was €127.99. Even though we submitted the receipts and invoices to Pegasus, we received a negative and dismissive response, and our reimbursement request was rejected.
I request that my complaint be reviewed and that the €127.99 we spent on the hotel and train transportation be reimbursed.
