Pegasus Airlines Hamburg–Istanbul Flight Delayed 9 Hours — No Food, No Water, No Support
Between October 2 and 7, 2025, I experienced a major inconvenience on Pegasus Airlines flight PC from Hamburg to Istanbul. The flight was scheduled to depart at 3:20 PM, but due to bad weather in Istanbul, passengers were kept waiting inside the plane in Hamburg for about two hours. After takeoff, when we approached Istanbul, the aircraft circled in the airspace for another two hours because of heavy rain, fog, and strong winds at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Since landing was not possible, the flight was diverted to Izmir, and after a one-hour flight, we landed there — only to be kept waiting on the plane for another two hours. In total, we spent nine hours inside the aircraft.
Throughout this period, there was not enough food or water on board, and we were told that even drinking water was unavailable. Passengers were offered no refreshments until we reached Izmir, where we were given only half a cup of water and a small snack cake. While I fully understand the impact of adverse weather conditions, Pegasus’s lack of preparedness and inadequate in-flight service during such a long delay was completely unacceptable. Being left hungry and dehydrated for nine hours caused serious distress for all passengers.
I purchased my ticket directly from the Pegasus website under PNR number 15pxal. I am requesting financial compensation from Pegasus Airlines for the significant inconvenience and negligence experienced during this flight.
