Denied Boarding Despite Military Discount: Pegasus Airlines Fiasco
On January 23, 2023, I purchased tickets for eight people from Pegasus Airlines, including my husband, who is a proud member of the Turkish Armed Forces (military personnel). For his ticket, I used the military discount. Our flight from Istanbul to SAW went off without a hitch. Things changed drastically when we arrived at Ercan Airport for the return leg to SAW on July 27, 2023. Despite our military IDs, the ticket officer, m*** a***, insisted on seeing a border crossing document. We were unaware of such a requirement and lacked the necessary documentation. Despite my husband's protests and the late hour of the flight, they canceled our tickets and forced us to purchase new ones for the exorbitant price of 6,950 TL. I demand an immediate refund of this amount, and if it is not honored, I am prepared to sue the airline. Flight No: pc1925, PNR: 4xhyd9.
