Agoda Refused to Change My Hotel Reservation Date Without a Clear Reason

I booked a reservation for Bolu Yıldız Hotel through Agoda with an original stay date of July 28. Later, I needed to change the reservation date to August 3 and submitted my request through the Agoda application.

Despite making this request through the proper channels, Agoda attempted to reject it using vague explanations such as “due to policy rules” without providing any clear or detailed justification. The responses I received were inconsistent, contradictory, and gave the strong impression that the hotel had not even been contacted regarding my request.

Throughout the process, I received no meaningful assistance or practical solution. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue, Agoda effectively ended the conversation without offering a transparent explanation or demonstrating any genuine effort to accommodate a reasonable reservation modification request.

As of yesterday, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in Agoda. I was not provided with clear information about the reason for the rejection, nor was I shown any evidence that a sincere attempt had been made to communicate with the hotel or explore possible alternatives.

For these reasons, I request that Agoda review how this case was handled and provide a transparent explanation regarding the rejection of my reservation change request. I also believe that Agoda’s customer communication practices and process management in Türkiye should be reviewed by the relevant authorities to help prevent similar customer experiences and ensure that consumers receive fair, transparent, and effective support.
