I Report Open English For Unauthorized Monthly Charge and Misleading Pricing

I was using the Beginner 6-Month Plan at Open English. On September 4, 2025, when my plan expired, ₺2,114 was automatically charged to my credit card without my knowledge or consent as a monthly fee. I immediately requested the cancellation of this transaction and a full refund. However, when I spoke with customer service, they told me that the payment could not be canceled. Instead, they offered to “reduce the monthly fee” to ₺1,500 if I agreed to continue.
The same issue happened to my friend, who had also purchased the 6-month plan on the same date. On the exact same day, both of our cards were charged without permission. When my friend contacted customer service, they offered her an even lower rate of ₺800. This inconsistent and manipulative approach feels like a “whoever we can trick” mentality.
No prior notification was ever given to me regarding automatic renewal or charges. I find this behavior unprofessional, misleading, and completely unacceptable. I will never use this platform again after this experience.
I demand the full refund of the unauthorized ₺2,114 charge and the immediate cancellation of any forced renewal tied to my account.
