I Report Open English For Charging Renewal Fee Without My Consent

On September 11, 2024, I purchased a one-year package from Open English. I did not renew my membership after it expired. Despite this, on September 11, 2025, my credit card was charged ₺1,249.50 under the name of a so-called “renewal fee.”
In August 2025, I received an email stating: “Your subscription license will soon expire… We will automatically renew your contract. You don’t need to do anything; your subscription fee will be charged automatically without any change.”
Following this transaction, I requested a refund under my right of withdrawal and refund. However, when I spoke with customer service by phone, they told me that refunds are only possible for the first purchase and that renewal payments are non-refundable.
I also attempted to file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee in Turkey, but I was unable to proceed since the company has no official representation in the country.
I demand the immediate cancellation of this unauthorized renewal and a full refund of ₺1,249.50, as I never renewed my membership and did not consent to this payment.
