I purchased a standard 1‑year general English package from Open English Turkey on 09.01.2024 using the e‑mail address sehmusya***@hotmail.com and paid approximately 16,000 TL in total for this package. The membership I chose and paid for was clearly defined as a 1‑year package. Despite this, I later noticed that starting from 09.01.2025 until 09.12.2025, a monthly membership fee of 1,087 TL was regularly charged to my card at the beginning of each month. During this entire period, I did not log into the system even once and did not benefit from the service in any way. I have the relevant bank statements and payment receipts for all these transactions. I did not give any explicit approval or consent for automatic renewal, nor was I clearly informed in an understandable way that my membership would be converted into an automatically renewed monthly subscription after the 1-year. Although I did not provide any such consent, my card was charged for 11 months, which I do not accept. I contacted Open English customer service regarding these unauthorized and unused payments, but I was informed that they could not issue a refund. I find it unacceptable that charges were made from my card for a service I did not use and for which I had not given explicit renewal consent. I request that all payments collected from my card between 09.01.2025 and 09.12.2025 without my consent and without any use of the service be fully refunded to me and that the automatic renewal on my account be permanently cancelled.
